And the tiny bat said to his loving bird:
"As it seems, the whole world
looks different in my eyes.. I, um..I’m sorry, but I, I can’t understand you..
I just can’t. Can't hold on anymore."
. . .
The sky split in two as the lighting
flashed the surrounding plains.
She opened her fragile wings carefully. Took a small step to the right,
then a small step to the left. She was trying to copy his stance to no avail.
She almost fell, but then again she wouldn’t give up so easily.. Her small mind
could not accept it, not just like that. Nah... Deep inside, she strongly
believed that there was a way.
Well, there should be.. Everything is possible when you truly want it,
right?
Or, at least that’s what people say.
The little bird stayed there,
looking at him silently with eyes full of wonder.
Well, he tried too.. But, with no
progress at all. Unable to stand, unable to help..her, himself.. He stopped. Stood still for a
moment. He looked into her eyes, knowing that this, was going to be their last
time.. And then, then he flew up! He flew high and far to the unseen clouds. And
then further than far. And even further than that. Until, until she lost him
from her sight..
For the next couple of hours she stayed there, with all the other birds,
staring at the tattered sky.. Maybe she had been waiting him, maybe not. Maybe
she cried.. Or maybe this, was all she tried to hide..
Who knows, birds are not
supposed to shed tears, so
we, we wouldn't notice this at all, I guess..
By the morning the birds had already gone, and so did she. The tiny bat
was never seen again, neither did she..
So, is this the way that all was meant to be?
Wasn't there any other way?
. . .
